Alameda’s South Shore Center is proud to support the 4th Annual Asian and Pacific Islander Cultural Festival Sunday, May 18, 2014, 11 am – 5 pm
Join us as we celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Month and Memorial Day!
The mission of this festival is to showcase local Asian talent, artists and vendors to raise awareness and understanding in hopes of developing tolerance and respect across all cultures.
Headlining the entertainment is Patrick Landeza, renowned Hawaiian Slack Key Guitarist, winner of the 2013 Na Hoku Hanohano Award, author and chef. Come and listen to his music and stay for a personal book reading with Patrick.
Additional performances by: Intensity Martial Arts, Okinawan Dance Academy, Halau Makana, Patty Chu’s Chinese Dancers, Ger Youth Center, China Spirit, Bay Farm Ukulele and Michael Sea.

Alameda’s first ever new Asian Noodle Speed-slurping contest hosted by Stephen Chun between Alameda’s Fraternal Order of Eagles 1076 and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 1015.
We are featuring an Asian Noodle Cook-off between local Asian restaurants with special guest judges. The public will be able to purchase ticket to taste and vote for their favorite noodle concoction. Proceeds will benefit American Legion Alameda Post 9 and the American Legion District 8 Council’s Veterans Success Center.
